Art curation
My goal as an artist is to paint authentically with emotion and spontaneity as my guides. It is my hope that something in my work sparks an emotional response from the viewer as well. Buying original art is more than just making a home décor choice. It’s about investing in something unique, one-of-a-kind, and timeless. Choosing something you love, something that speaks to you and makes you feels good every time you look at it. Yet, the placement of artwork on your walls is just as significant as picking out a piece that makes you happy. When arranging art, it is important to not only consider your space but the impact you want to convey with the artwork. One large, dynamic painting that commands all the attention with minimal distractions is definitely a showstopper. However, don’t overlook other options. Arranging an art collage on your wall can be just as eye-catching, especially if you like several different kinds of styles, mediums and sizes. The key is having a cohesive look. Additionally, small paintings that can be tucked in tiny spaces, like bookshelves or a corner of a room, is one of my favorite ways to display unique interest to a space.
Therefore, the difference between mixing and matching artwork of varying sizes versus showcasing one piece can make exceptional impact. Don’t be afraid to change it up!
